                                                                              Maybe you do not have experience in actual Law  Enforcement, but know how to conduct yourself in an emergency situation.  You have a clean record. You have taken control of a bad situation.  You have rendered aid, or even have First Aid experience.  The Sun City Posse will recertify you in First Aid-CPR, and give you training in all aspects of this volunteer position.   Here is a fantastic chance to give back to the Sun City community, wear with pride the badge and uniform, and be an important assistant to the Maricopa Sheriff's Office. (Sun City Posse is not a Law Enforcement Agency.) 

                         Another way to help:                                              Duties include :  
                                                                                        
                                                                                         Patrol:
                                                                                             Residential Streets
                                                                                             Main highways through Sun City
                                                                                             Shopping Centers
                                                                                             Banks
                                                                                             Residents on vacation
                                                                                             Special Events
                                                                                             Traffic hazards

                                                                                         Dispatches :
                                                                                             Assist Sheriff's patrol units
                                                                                             Assist and direct traffic at accidents
                                                                                             Assist at Fire Department responses
                                                                                             Assist at Paramedic response scenes
                                                                                             Locate missing persons
                                                                                             Report suspicious issues and crimes to MCSO
                                                                                             Verify churches and other buildings are secure
                                                                                             Assist in Homeland Security missions

                These are only a few of the missions handled by the Sun City Sheriff's Posse.
                In addition, there are many necessary support functions, including:
                                    Dispatch Radio Operator
                                    Vacation Watch Coordinators
                                    Receptionist functions
                                    Block Watch Information Officers
                                    Special functions and security details.
                                    Administration
                                    Fund raising
